Why choose linen laces ?
Producing the linen fabric from the plant uses much less water than it takes to produce the same amount of cotton. Which makes it an ecological choice. Fewer pesticides are used in growing flax than in cotton, and flax can be processed without the use of chemicals. Which is definitely a good thing for the planet.
Cotton requires large areas, while linen likes poor soils. Linen is less resource intensive and once the linen fabric has finished its life, it will simply be bio-degradable without leaving toxic waste.
This is why we have chosen this flax fiber for our collection of natural laces, so when your laces will be too worn just remember to cut the plastic tips to throw them apart from the linen lace.
